Mixing intensification with soft-elastic baffle (SEB) in a soft-elastic reactor (SER)

چکیده

• Soft-elastic baffles (SEBs) intensified mixing in a soft-elastic reactor (SER). A best design of SER with SEBs was identified. Mixing SERs large length to diameter ratios by SEBs. (SER) has been demonstrated as an alternative approach effective viscous liquid. Here, the performance Newtonian fluid—glycerin water solutions (1200±50 mPa⋅s) experimentally investigated for first time inside simple cylindrical baffle (SEB) aligned parallel axis. Visualization based on acid-base reaction used reveal presence and disappearance isolated regions. The characterized using curve time. effect SEB positioning intensification explored. Results show that single could improve efficiency optimal angle 90° With increase number SEBs, found be improved regardless angles. Compared without SEB, adding reduce about 34% at probe penetration depth 2.5 cm frequency 1.0 Hz. Efficient also achieved SEB.
